What we collect
Total Jerks collects limited data to understand how the site is used and to improve content. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal information unless you contact us directly.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 — We use GA4 only with your consent. If you accept analytics
cookies, GA4 collects anonymized usage data (pages visited, time on site, approximate geographic
region). GA4 is configured with anonymize_ip: true, which truncates your IP
address before it is stored. GA4 sets the following first-party cookies:

GA4 is only loaded after you click Accept on the cookie banner. Your choice is
stored in localStorage under the key tj_analytics_consent. You can
withdraw consent at any time by clicking Cookie preferences in the footer.
You can also opt out globally via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Cloudflare Web Analytics — If present, Cloudflare Web Analytics collects privacy-first traffic metrics using no cookies and no cross-site tracking. No personal data is stored.
Server logs
Cloudflare, our hosting provider, may log standard web server data (IP addresses, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and operational purposes. These logs are retained according to Cloudflare's own privacy policy and are not used by us for profiling.
Affiliate links
Total Jerks is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click an affiliate link to Amazon, Amazon may set its own cookies on your browser to track the referral. Those cookies are governed by Amazon's privacy policy, not ours. We have no access to information about your Amazon purchases.
What we don't do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third party.
- We do not run advertising retargeting pixels.
- We do not build profiles on individual visitors.
- We do not use session-recording or heatmap tools.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or California, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because we collect very little personal data, a request to delete your analytics data is best handled by clearing your browser cookies and local storage, and declining analytics consent.

Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
